WAL-Betrieb providing services for the citizens of Freital.

A good service for customers is the no. 1 priority.

Freital. Since the beginning of 2008, Wasserverband Lausitz Betriebsführungs GmbH (WAL-Betrieb) has been working on behalf of the Technische Werke Freital near Dresden where it has been responsible for running both the technical and business management side of the company's mobile service to dispose of wastewater that has accumulated in collection pits not connected to a drainage system as well as of sewage sludge from small-scale sewage treatment facilities. Furthermore, WAL-Betrieb carries out technical checks on the pits of the more than 600 customer-owned facilities. WAL-Betrieb, which is based in Senftenberg in the German state of Brandenburg and is a wholly owned subsidiary of REMONDIS Aqua, had previously taken part in the tender process for this project beating its strong competitors by submitting the most economic offer.

The technical procedures are carried out using "MainControl", WAL-Betrieb's own business management software. The WAL-B branch is located in Freital which means that it is close to both its client and to the customers.

For WAL-Betrieb, this project means a further important step towards extending this third line of business. Besides these activities in Freital, WAL-Betrieb is also active in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Oberlausitz in Saxony where, for example, it is responsible for operating sewage treatment plants.
