On the one hand, the whole of the waste management sector there was dominated by a state-run monopoly and, on the other hand, the municipal waste management businesses lacked the necessary know-how as well as modern technology. Today, REMONDIS is the leading company in the Polish water and environmental sector with over 30 business locations

Active protection of the climate and environment

The close network of branches that REMONDIS has set up with their state-of-the-art sorting, processing and treatment facilities has also played an important role in ensuring that the amount of waste in Poland sent to landfill has been greatly reduced. We shall continue to strive towards further optimizing material-flow management in the country. For, the more raw materials that can be recovered from waste, the fewer primary raw materials need to be used. The country is, together with REMONDIS, making every effort to actively achieve sustainability in the sector to conserve natural resources and protect the climate.
